BE MOVED: EPISODE 1
small steps, big impact
Scripture Focus
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” —Matthew 28:19-20 (ESV)
Reflection
The Great Commission calls us to make disciples of all nations, a task that seems daunting when viewed as a whole. But God’s incredible work around the world often starts with small, simple acts of obedience.
The early disciples were ordinary people — fishermen, tax collectors, and common folks — who took small steps in faith, sharing what they had experienced with Jesus. They didn’t have formal training or vast resources, but their simple, consistent actions had a profound impact that continues to this day.
Today, the same principle applies. As you understand what God is doing globally, it becomes clear that He invites you to participate in His mission through small, manageable steps. Whether it’s having a conversation about faith, praying for someone in need, or showing kindness, these actions may seem small, but in God’s hands, they can lead to significant transformation.
God doesn’t require grand gestures. He’s looking for willing hearts ready to take the next small step. By starting where you are and using what you have, you can join the incredible story of what God is doing in the world.
