BE MOVED: EPISODE 2
The Power of Prayer
Scripture Focus
“The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” —James 5:16b (NIV)
Reflection
Prayer is often seen as something passive, but in reality, it’s one of the most powerful actions we can take.
God’s movements around the world are fueled by prayer — ordinary people crying out to an extraordinary God who listens and responds. Throughout history, every significant move of God has been preceded by prayer, often starting with a few people on their knees, seeking His face.
It’s unbelievable to think that your prayers can impact not just your immediate circumstances but also contribute to the larger work God is doing globally. When you pray, you align your heart with God’s purposes, and in that space, incredible things can happen.
Prayer isn’t about the length or eloquence of our words but the posture of our hearts and our dependence on God.
As you understand the global impact of prayer, be encouraged that your prayers matter. They are a direct line to the heart of God, and He delights in using them to bring about His will on earth. Your prayers can be the spark that ignites change in your own life and in the lives of those around you.
