BE MOVED: EPISODE 3
Embracing Change
Scripture Focus
“When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and took note that these men had been with Jesus.” —Acts 4:13 (NIV)
Reflection
God’s work around the world is marked by change — new ways of thinking, new approaches to sharing the Gospel, and new movements that defy traditional expectations.
The early disciples had to embrace change, moving from a mindset of believing in Jesus to following Jesus by making disciples. This shift wasn’t easy, but it was necessary for the Gospel to spread.
In today’s video, you heard stories of individuals who initially struggled with new methods of disciple-making, thinking they wouldn’t work in their context. Yet, when they embraced change and trusted God, they saw Him move in powerful ways. This teaches us that sometimes, making a big impact means being willing to step outside of our comfort zones and embrace new possibilities.
God is constantly doing new things, and He invites us to be part of it by being open to change. As you understand His global work, consider how you might need to shift your perspective or actions to better align with what He’s doing. Change can be uncomfortable, but it’s often the catalyst for growth and greater impact.
