BE MOVED: EPISODE 4

Compassion in Action

Scripture Focus

“But Jesus called them to him and said, ‘You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave…” —Matthew 20:25-26 (ESV)

Reflection

Compassion is a powerful expression of God’s love, and it plays a critical role in how the Gospel spreads. Jesus didn’t just preach. He served, healed, and met people where they were. His acts of compassion weren’t just random. They were strategic ways to open hearts to the message of the Kingdom. In the same way, our acts of service can pave the way for deeper spiritual connections.

Understanding the global impact of compassion can inspire us to take small but meaningful steps in our own communities. Whether it’s volunteering, helping a neighbor, or simply being kind, these actions reflect the heart of Jesus and can lead to conversations about faith. Compassion creates opportunities for the Gospel to take root in the lives of those we serve.

In today’s video, you saw examples of how simple acts of kindness opened doors for the Gospel in unexpected ways. Let these stories inspire you to look for ways to serve those around you, knowing that God can use your actions to make a big impact.
