Support Persecuted Christians

with New Generations

Real Crisis. Needs Real Unity.

Jesus warned His followers that trouble would come. “If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you” (John 15:20). This last week this came true for 12 churches in one of our regions. In a blind rage a mob of people torched church buildings, burned bibles and attacked believers. These congregations are poor and abandoned. There is no protection or help from the government. The people are on their own and many have fled fearing what will happen next.

New Generations is responding with urgent, real-time support through our field teams and trusted partners on the ground. We are asking our support team to join us by:

  1. Praying for both those who have been damaged and those who did the damage
  2. Giving above their normal support to help our brothers and sisters in need

Our Regional Director writes, “The situation is devastating. 12 churches were attacked and destroyed. All of them have lost everything. Their buildings, the furniture and their Bibles have all been burned. All they have is has completely gone. I am heart broken by this tragedy. I have seen the devastation in the eyes of the church leaders and heard the deep discouragement in their voices. Something must be done because when one part of the Body of Christ is suffering, the entire Body is affected.”

But he goes on to say, “In every crisis there is opportunity! I have seen over and over again how what the enemy intended for evil, God can turn to good! I believe that now is the moment to prove to the radicals that they can’t win. Now is the moment for light to drive out the darkness. Now is the moment to prove that love is greater than hate. And now is the moment to for followers of Jesus around the world to stand together as one!”

• That peace would be restored
• That God would give grace to love our enemies
• That traumatized families would be healed
• That God would provide the resources to restore what has been destroyed

Our brothers and sisters need help and they need it now. New Generations wants to provide $5,000 in immediate assistance to each of the 12 congregations that have been burned out. To do this, we $60,000 immediately. You can make a world of difference in the lives of persecuted Christians by giving them hope and help.
