Tim Genry

Southeast Area Coordinator

Tim has been a minister at Park View Church in Hoover, Alabama since 2016. Park View is a church that seeks to teach, encourage, and train its members in the teachings and disciple-making habits of Jesus.

Prior to accepting his role at Park View Church, Tim served as a teacher in the local school system for 27 years. Throughout his career in education he also served his local church as a volunteer, as a deacon, and later as an elder. As an adult, Tim longed to learn and practice the habits of Jesus in disciple-making, which led him to study Disciple Making Movements in 2014 and then to seek mentorship and coaching in these practices. Thankfully as coaches poured into him, it provided clarity for the daily practices that he needed to align his mission and methods with the mission and methods of Jesus. Most notably, Tim is thankful for the encouragement, teaching, and opportunities to practice prayer with disciple makers from all over the world. He is honored to be asked to work alongside the team at New Generations to help catalyze movements of disciple makers in the southeast region of North America.

Tim and his wife have four adult children, three grandchildren, and a dog, Hershey, named after one of Tim’s weaknesses. They reside in the Birmingham metropolitan area.
