Omar’s Testimony

Stories of Transformation

Omar is a retired teacher and former Catholic. He had lived 45% of his life in children’s education and by standing very firm in the Catholic faith.

One day, the District Head, Nouhou, had a breakdown at Omar’s village and took rest as he waited for his vehicle to be repaired. While taking a rest in Omar’s veranda, he decided to play the SD Scripture card on his cell phone.

Omar, listening from a distance, came closer and became very much interested in the SD card playing. He was moved and mesmerized in wonderment. Omar was particularly gripped by the words of Jesus in John 3:16. He engaged Nouhou on this, and after some explanation of the verse, he was left with no option but to accept Christ for the second time in his life.

This time for real with no confusion, as the understanding was so bright and ever shining in the ignorance and darkness of his spiritual blindness. Omar is now the Man of Peace in the village, giving support to the Church Planter there.

In great joy, he confessed that he is now living his Christian life with meaning.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY.
