Hassan* has been faithfully promoting the Disciple Making Movement (DMM) in his district for many years. Today, he’s leading a life-changing training program at a home in his community, where around ten women are learning what it means to be true disciples of Jesus.
Two of those women, Arya and Maya, have remarkable stories. Arya came to faith in Christ through a man named Samuel, and both women accepted the invitation to join the DMM training. What they discovered in this training changed their lives. They realized that being a disciple of Jesus wasn’t just about personal belief—it was about making more disciples.
Despite being widows who had rarely left their homes, Arya and Maya stepped out in faith. They began by sharing the Good News with their close friends and family. In no time, each of them had started their own Discovery Bible Study (DBS) group in their village.
Their influence didn’t stop there. They shared their journey with Veda, who encouraged the community, and soon Hema and Damini joined the movement. Veda shared the story of baptism, inspiring others to take the next step in their faith.
Today, Arya and Maya’s impact continues to ripple through their villages. Anjali, one of their disciples, has become a second-generation leader, now shepherding her own congregation. Aashya, a third-generation leader, is doing the same in her village.
Through Arya and Maya’s bold leadership in obedience, countless people have heard about Jesus and found salvation.
