The strategy of reaching a community begins with building relationships. Without the trust of a community, it’s unlikely that there would be much opportunity for further Kingdom work. That’s why, as we consider the concept of “access ministry,” we see so much opportunity to reach communities effectively. It begins by meeting a practical need.
If a community is in need of a teacher, a doctor, a resource of some kind, etc., it’s most helpful to be able to meet that need with the intent of building relationships with the people. This approach gives us access to communities. It gives opportunities to engage with people on a regular basis and build trust. Once trust is built, we are well on our way to the next steps we must take in building God’s Kingdom, bringing hope to each new people group we have the privilege of knowing.
