My name is A.K. I was a fanatic Muslim and a strong critic of the Christian faith. My father is a chief Imam of a very big Mosque with a large congregation.
As a son of an Imam, I observed all the rules of Islam. Yet still, my life was without meaning. I did all the prayers necessary to excel but could not see the evidence of my prayers in any way. What troubled me most was the fact that I could see Christians in my community with extreme joy, excelling in their endeavors. This gave me the urge to ask God to direct me to the right path. As a matter of fact, I did not know why I was a Muslim, except that I received it from my parents.
Fortunately for me, a man by the name of C.B. visited our community and introduced himself to me as a church planter. I asked him to tell me how one could plant a church. After explaining, I volunteered to be his host. I became the person of peace and later gave my life to Jesus as my Lord and personal Savior. I have become a disciple of Christ for which I am very grateful to God. I have found power and authority in the Word of God that has transformed my life for the better.
Though my life has not been without persecution, I thank God for the grace He has given me to resist the arrows thrown at me by my family, friends, and colleagues. I now run a small group and have planted many churches. To God be the glory.
