From a DMM leader:
God is moving through disciple-makers in the Yucutan Peninsula! We were able to accomplish a lot of training and witness numerous miracles during our time. We are witnessing the gospel being planted in several of the Maya Villages and the idea of seeing churches emerge by the end of this year does seem possible.
The biggest need in most of the villages is for physical healing. There are dozens of people with illnesses who are without transportation and the financial means to visit a doctor. While visiting villages, we found ourselves praying for one person after another. This would last for hours upon hours with no end.
One special moment took place when a new disciple began to pray for healing for the first time. She is a small but mighty Mayan woman who oversees one of the Mayan villages where our team is working. During one of our training sessions, we encouraged her to pray for another woman who was suffering from a severe migraine. While she was praying, she experienced God’s power flow down her arms and out of her hands. The woman immediately felt her headache leave. This beloved disciple-maker now believes that God wants to use her mightily and that she is a key person in reaching her entire village of 2,000 people.
All glory to God for Kingdom growth! Please join us in praying for this region to continue to experience a rich embrace of the good news.
