Paul wrote: “The Word of God is alive and exerts power and is sharper than any two-edged sword and pierces even to the dividing of soul and spirit, and of joints and their marrow, and is able to discern thoughts and intentions of the heart.” —Hebrews 4:12.
In X country in the western part of the region, 11 DBS groups emerged when a witch doctor heard the Word of God and believed in Jesus.
As I write, amazing multiplication is happening in this area! The smallest DBS group has 11 people, and the largest has 17 people. This part of the country is still living a very primitive life. There are no grocery stores, no schools, no hospitals, no police stations. People depend on witch doctors for medical aid. Those who know how to read and write are those who migrated to Y country during the civil war in X country.
It seems that every household has at least two guns. Bullets are sold like mangoes at local village markets. The greatest treasure people have is cows, goats, and chickens. Life is so simple. Thieves and other serious offenders are all given capital punishment by gun.
When this witch doctor believed, he started telling others about Jesus, and miraculously, many believed. When disciple-makers went there early this year, they conducted Disciple Making Movement (DMM) training for two days. After training, 57 people were baptized, including the witch doctor.
Currently, DMM has been introduced to many surrounding villages. After the team facilitated DMM training in M area, one of the disciple-makers received a call from an immigration office he was unfamiliar with. The witch doctor visited the border, after believing, to deliver the message to the immigration officer. The officer said that he has many people who want to learn more from the Bible, so that they can be disciple-makers, as well. The officer said they would cover all expenses to have a training.
