In 2024, a farming village in India, marked by long days of labor and generations of tradition, became the setting for an unexpected change.
One of our local movement catalysts, “Sam,” met a woman named “Joy” while buying bricks at a factory. She looked tired and weighed down by cares she didn’t voice, so in a quiet moment, Sam told her, “God can bring peace to your family.”
Those words opened the door. Joy began to share about her struggles, and soon invited Sam to her home. Each week, the family gathered with him for a Discovery Bible Study. As they listened to Scripture and discussed it together, the stories of God’s love began to replace the fear and pressure they had always known.
Before the year ended, Joy, her husband, and their two children decided to follow Jesus. They were baptized together, beginning a new way of life built on hope.
Today, Joy leads her own Discovery Bible Study and is introducing others in her village to the same message that transformed her family. What began with a simple conversation in a brick factory has grown into a witness that continues to spread.
