A disciple maker arrived in a remote area of Congo. He met the village Administrative Leader, who by the grace of the Lord, was a person of peace. This leader had been involved in Discovery Bible Studies (DBSs), believed, and gave his life to Jesus Christ.
A short time after he was born again, the leader’s wife fell ill and died. At this time, he was confronted with traditional rituals that did not glorify the Lord Jesus Christ.
Because he was convinced by the strength of what he had heard, and through prayer, he rejected the traditional practices that went against the Word of God. This refusal, although strongly criticized, was adopted by twenty-five people who gave their lives to the Lord, with the coaching of this Administrative Leader.
He is an undeniable, godly example for the people of his village. And many people understood that it was possible to follow the Lord in this village, without attracting the wrath of the guardians of tradition.
